Big news from the Savannah Regional Film Commission! Our intern, Owen Hollander, had the amazing opportunity to present the Spotlight Director Award to the incredible Craig Brewer at this year’s SCAD Savannah Film Festival for his latest film, Song Sung Blue.

Brewer’s deep Southern roots continue to inspire him to “keep Hollywood in the South,” and his filmography speaks for itself — Footloose, Hustle & Flow, “Coming 2 America,” and so many more fan favorites.

We couldn’t be prouder to celebrate such an inspiring director and the next generation of storytellers right here in Savannah!
