Casting Call: Bryan County High School Digital Media and Film

BCHS Film Program is shooting a short film March 10 & 11, 2022 in Pembroke, Ga.

A Country Funeral is a short dramedy with an undertone of dealing with Alzheimer’s.

Student Casting is accepting submissions until December 15.

Characters:

MawMaw – 60+ lady dealing with Alzheimer’s. She just wants to make sure that someone takes care of her dogs. Southern accent is a plus.

Robert Earle – 9-12 white boy and son to Arnette. Southern accent is a plus.

Violet – 35-50, white female, sister to Arnette, daughter to MawMaw. Is clueless about what’s wrong with MawMaw.

Arnette 40-50 white female knows about the situation. Mother to Robert Earle. Southern accent is a plus.

Beaver – country farmer/worker. Southern Accent a must. White Male. 40-60

Moses – black or white male. 30-45. Southern accent is a plus.

Sam – black or white male. 30-45. Southern accent is a plus.

This is a NON paid production. We will be offering meals, copy, credit, and a small appreciation gift.

Sam, Moses, and Beaver will shoot ONE day. All others will shoot TWO days.

Submissions should include: Headshot, Resume, Slate. Reels if possible.

Selections will be made from these materials. If a callback is needed, actors will submit an audition.
