When Barry Jenkins asked me to design UGRR I knew the opportunity had arrived. Shooting this epic story in Savannah was a dream, from the swampy Richmond Hill countryside, to the historic downtown streets to the phenomenal Savannah Railway museum, we were able to create a dynamic 1850’s America and establish the look of this incredible series.”
